A former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim has commiserated with President Muhammad Buhari over the death of his Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari.
In the same vein, s foremost chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Mohammed Tukur, has also joined the legion of sympathisers over the death of the late Mallam Kyari.
In separate messages personally signed by them, the two leaders expressed shock of the death of the former Chief of Staff.
According to Sent. Anyim, “Malam Abba Kyari was a hardworking, loyal and dependable Chief of Staff, who discharged his duties with uncommon and diligence. Every well-meaning person who encountered him in office, came away with the conclusion that he knew his onions and went about his duties with candour.”
In the condolence letter from Alhaji Tukur, he wrote,
“The late Malam Abba Kyari is a fine gentleman who served his country meritoriously and ensured the smooth running of government in the five years as Chief of Staff.
“Given the huge scale of his assignment and the stability he brought to governance, Nigeria has lost a gem that will be missed for a long time to come.”
They both prayed for the fortitude to bear his loss.
