Reports reaching The Nigerian Xpress online indicates that a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Sabur Bankole, is getting married this month to a second wife.
It was gathered that the planned Nikkah would be a 3-day private affair to be held in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
It would be the vibrant politician’s second marriage as a Muslim. He is already happily married to Olaitan who bore him two children among whom the first, Yewande, is dead.

According to the information, “Dimeji is making the union private to avoid tongues wagging”. The lucky bride, it was reported, is daughter of a Northern state governor with whom he had maintained relationship for three years.
Dimeji represented Abeokuta South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives during the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua administration and was the 9th Speaker of the Federal Republic.
He will be 52 years in 2021.
