A former Governor of Imo state, and Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, has officially dumped the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after 26 years.
His resignation letter sighted by reporters confirmed the report that started as a rumour few weeks back.

However, he did not say his next destination but those around him told said that the Mbaise-born politician may have concluded plans to join APC
During the last Imo governorship election, Ihedioha was aspiring to go back to Douglas house after his short tenure was ended by Supreme Court that saw the emegence of the incumbent Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma but withdrew from the race when he saw that the primary election has been hijacked by Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, who later emerged as the PDP candidate but failed woefully during the election.
