A former Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) Ogun State Chapter, Mr. Wale Adegbite, has advised the Federal Government to intensify efforts in decongesting the traffic jam from Apapa road to the Port.
Adegbite, who gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ota, Ogun State, said the effort would ease the pains of manufacturers and others.
He noted that the massive congestion from Apapa road to the Port had resulted to a significant increase in the cost of transporting containers from Apapa port to various destinations.

“The transporters face heavy traffic when going in and out of the port and this is not good for the economy, “he said.
“This is a national issue that needs to be urgently addressed to restore sanity on that road and reduce cost of transporting goods.
He further said that lorries and articulated vehicles parked from Funsho Williams road to the Port which slowed down the pace of doing business in the area. (NAN)
