Former governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson, has felicitated with former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida on his 79th birthday.
Dickson noted in a tribute to Gen. Babangida that the former president, “made profound contributions to Nigeria in the course of his many decades of service among other things, as Chief of Army Staff, Military President and currently as elder statesman who has paid his dues in nation building and continues to be a father to generations of leaders.”
Dickson appreciated it, particularly, that in the course of his service as Governor of Bayelsa State for eight years, Gen. Babangida found time to check on him and the state during trying moments and offered his thoughts and best wishes.
“On his 79th birthday, my family and I felicitate with him, his family, friends and admirers worldwide and pray for many more happy returns in good health as he continues to be of service to the nation and to humanity,” he added.
