A former Director General of the Budget Office of Nigeria, Bode Agusto, is dead.
Agusto reportedly died, on Thursday. He was also Special Advisor to the President on Budget Matters between 2003 and 2007.
The deceased had a degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), an Executive Certificate in Strategy & Innovation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

A Chartered Accountant of over four decades, Agusto was the founding Managing Director of Agusto & Co., the foremost Pan African Credit Rating Agency and a leading provider of industry research.
He worked at PwC for 10 years and was admitted as a Partner of the same institution in 1991. He also worked at Nigeria International Bank (now Citibank Nigeria), where he served as Assistant Vice President and as Head of the World Corporations Group.
In 2003, President Olusegun Obasanjo awarded Agusto, the national honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic for his contributions to the Nigerian Economy. Subsequently, President Obasanjo appointed Agusto as the Director General and Special Advisor to the President on Budget Matters.
