Enugu residents march against sit-at-home order

Thousands of Enugu residents, on Monday, hit the streets of Enugu state in protest against the lingering Monday Sit-at-home in solidarity with the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who is still under the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) despite several rulings in his favour.
The ongoing demonstration is allegedly geared toward the end of the perpetual civil disobedience consequent upon its negative effects on the economy and life of the people in general.

It would be recalled that the state governor, Barr. Peter Mbah had upon his assumption of office, issued a statement declaring the end of the lingering sit-at-home demonstration by the people.
Also yesterday, Enugu State Government had commenced sealing of businesses and stalls that comply with the sit-at-home order issued by a Finland-based Biafran agitator, Mr. Simon Ekpa.
