The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ekiti State Council, on Thursday inaugurated the new executive members of the Radio Nigeria Progress FM, Ado Ekiti Chapel to pilot the affairs of the station.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the executives, who were elected unopposed, are to manage the affairs of the organisation for three years.
The executives are: Mr. Olaniyi Alade, the Chairman, Mrs. Bola Omotoso, the Vice Chairman, Mrs. Funke Adeigba, the Secretary and Mrs. Ifeoluwa Falayo as the Financial Secretary.
Mr. Bunmi Oluwalana, the Controller of News of the station, delivering his goodwill message during the inauguration, enjoined the executives to exhibit leadership quality to enhance the welfare of members.
He said that the chapel remained the only medium through which agitations of members could be fought for and accomplished.
Mr. Rotimi Ojomoyela, the Chairman of NUJ in the state, represented by Mr. Kayode Babatuyi, advised the new executives to build on the achievements of the past executives of the chapel.

Ojomoyela also urged the new chapel leaders not to disappoint members in the discharge of their duties by making the chapel a pacesetter for other chapels in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the executives, Chairman expressed the readiness of the members to fight for every cause that would promote the well being of members.
Ojomoyela promised that the new executives would not fail members on the mandate given to them.
He thanked members for reposing confidence in the new executives, promising that the rights and welfare of members would be accorded priority.
Mr. Kazeem Yahaya, the former chairman of the chapel, also commended members for their support during his tenure and urged them to extend same “warm hands” to the new executives.
Mrs. Fatima Bello, the Chairperson, Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in the state, also graced the occasion. (NAN)
