Ekiti state Chief judge, Hon. Justice Ayodeji Daramola had set 43 males and 1 female awaiting trial inmates free in Ekiti, while 3 others were granted bail in a very liberal terms.
Justice Daramola advised those who just regained their freedom to be obedient to the law, he also advised lawyers to be mindful of politically motivated cases to avoid their images from been dented.

Addressing journalists after the exercise, justice Daramola said 420 cases comprising 413 males and 7 females were reviewed, where those charged with lesser offences ranging from stealing, burglary and others were released.
The Chief judge was conducted round the facilities by the comptroller of Correctional Services, Mr Afolabi Akinyemi, he applauded them for taking good care of the inmates as well as keeping clean and healthy environment.
Present at the facility tour were Ekiti state Director of Public Prosecution, Mr. Julius Ajibare, O.C. legal, Mr. Femi Falade, high court judges, magistrates among others.The Chief judge promised hopefully to revisit the facility before the year runs out.
