The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has set free a former Governor of Abia State, Sen. Theodore Orji, after being detained by operatives of the anti-graft agency.
Recall that the senator and his son, Chinedu, were intercepted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, in Abuja, on Thursday.
According to sources familiar with the case, Sen. Orji was granted an administrative bail after facing hours of interrogation at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja at about 9:00 p.m, same Thursday.
The lawmaker, currently representing Abia Central Senatorial District at the Senate was asked to return to the EFCC office for further interrogation today (Friday).
