No fewer. than 200 vulnerable persons, on Friday, benefited from the empowerment programme of All Progressives Congress (APC) members representing Uhunmwode/Orhionmwon federal constituency, Edo State in the National Assembly, Hon. Patrick Aisoweren.
Items distributed to the beneficiaries which cuts across the wards of the two local government areas that made up the federal constituency respectively are sewing machines, motor bikes and generators.

The three-day event was done in batches in strict adherence with COVID-19 guidelines of social distance and gathering of not more than 20 persons.
Hon. Aisoweren said the programme has nothing to do with palliative measures to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 stay at home order but in line with his yearly ritual of empowering his constituents irrespective of party affiliation.
” As a good politician, a grassroot man and a democrat this is what I do as a yearly routine outreach to my constituency, to carry the people along to cushion the impact of hardship most especially for the grassroot people.” I know what my people want and I know what they like. the tricycles will aid them boost economy activities and farming in the rural area.”
” This has nothing to do with the COVID- 19 sit at home order. What we did was to obey government directive of not more than twenty persons gathering otherwise it would have take the usual form of jamboree. “
Chairman of Orhionmwon local government area, Elder Ben Oghumu, who commended the lawmaker for the yearly empowerment outreach, urged the beneficiaries to make optimal use of the items to enhance their economy status in the face of the present hardship.
