Executives of the Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC), loyal to Comrade Adams Oshiomole, has urged the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to, as a matter of urgency, expel Governor Godwin Obaseki and three others following alleged indulgence in anti-party activities.
Others recommended for expulsion were, Barr. Anslem Ojezua, Amadasun Aisosa, a former APC State Woman Leader.
Chairman of the party in the state, Col. David Imuse (rtd), who said this in Benin-City, maintained that by instituting several court cases against the party, the aforemensioned did not only circumvent the processes of law and provisions of the party constitution, but acted contrary to the party constitution in defiance of democratic norms.

Imuse also warned other political parties in the state of the inherent risk in allowing Governor Obaseki to fly their party flag in the forthcoming governorship election.
The state party working committee equally commended the Edo State APC governorship screening committee for the diligence they brought to bear in their assignment, saying they were thorough and transparent in assessing all aspirants
“It should be stressed that after the bitter experience of losing the governorship of Bayelsa state in the court after a well deserved victory in the election, it would be foolhardy to allow a candidate with dodgy and faulty academic credentials to fly our party flag in the September 19 2020 elections.”
