Mrs. Ojoma Noel, a businesswoman, on Thursday, dragged her husband, Thomas Noel, before a customary court in Nyanya, Abuja, for alleged domestic violence and denying her of conjugal rights.
The petitioner prayed the court to dissolve her marriage because her husband no longer cared about her and the only child of the marriage.
“My husband has practically denied me of my conjugal rights; he doesn’t care to know how I feel or what my needs are in that aspect,” she told the court.

“I have suffered repeated physical abuse and violence from Thomas, including blows, slaps, locked out of the house and so on.”
Mrs. Noel, who also prayed the court to grant her the custody of their only child, prayed that her estranged husband should be compelled to pay a monthly N50,000 for upkeep.
However, Mr. Noel denied all the allegations and prayed for the court’s intervention in resolving the matter.
The trial Judge, Doocivir Yawe, adjourned the matter to February 16.
