A petrol-laden tanker on Thursday exploded in the Iganmu bridge in the Sari Iganmu area of Lagos State.
Shakiru Amodu, the spokesperson Fire Service confirmed the incident in a statement.
He said, “Tanker fire is being combatted at the Lagos Quadrapoint Bridge, by National Arts Theater, Iganmu as Sari Iganmu and Ilupeju Fire Crews combine efforts to tame the raging fire.”

Operatives of the agency, were on the ground to contain the inferno.
The incident came barely hours after a fuel-laden tanker fell on the Otedola Bridge, Berger area of Lagos State.
Though there were no casualties residents defied the potential risks and were seen scooping the fuel at the scene.
