All roads lead to Dim-Na-Nume Isu, on Saturday, October 26, as the community in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State celebrates its 2019 New Yam festival.
A press statement by the chairman and Secretary of the planning committee of the festival, Chief Chinedu Ukadike and Evangelist Anthony Nwadike, respectively, said the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Nelson Uzoma Obasi, his cabinet, Council of Chiefs and executive members, led by the President General, Chief Patrick Enwerem, would welcome sons and daughters of Dim-Na-Nume Isu as well as other dignitaries to the ceremony.

The Chief Host at the annual event holding at the Eze’s palace from 12:noon, is the Member representing Nwangele Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu.
Onwa Chineke, Chief Obinna Duruaku, would preside as chairman of the ceremony, while the Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, Prof. Adaobi Obasi would be the Mother of the Day, and Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo is the Special Guest of Honour.
The release also said that the annual festival would feature a glamorous display of Igbo culture and conferment of chieftaincy titles on some prominent indigenes of the community.
