Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a 26-year-old man, identified as Kome Ogaga, over the killing of Hosanna Merritt, an 11-year-old girl, while reportedly testing a locally made gun in the state.
The suspect, who initially fled his house at Ozoro after the incident on August 22, was, however, arrested on August 30 when a relative, who tipped off the Police.

The police spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, in a statement made available to newsmen, on Thursday, said Ogaga was being interrogated.
Edafe also quoted the Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, as commending residents of the state for aiding the police in combating crime through provision of relevant intelligence.
The CP also urged members of the public to remain alert and report suspicious persons in their of their surroundings to the Police.
