Chief Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation magazine, who is also
a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has tackled a supporter of President Bola Tinubu who challenged him on X, formerly known as Twitter, over his statement on the controversy surrounding the president’s Chicago State University (CSU) academic records.
The X user has questioned Momodu for taking sides against Tinubu.
“You never knew he had not cleared his mess, yet, you wrote such an epistle, it shows when you are no longer on good terms with someone, then you start hunting down such personality, but it’s understandable, one without any electoral value will find anything to hang on to stay relevant,” he wrote.
In response, Momodu drew the attention of his critic that it was not only the CSU documents that have received most attention, but also reminded him of the school certificate that is also in contention.
Therefore, he asked the critic if he (Momodu) was to blame the act of incompetent forgers who, were obviously well paid but ended up doing a very bad job when they claimed that someone graduated in 1970 from a school that was established in 1974, wondering why he was being asked to defend an issue he knew nothing about.

“Now, is it my fault that some incompetent forgers, who I’m sure were well compensated, did such a shoddy job of it?” Momodu asked.
“Was I the one who wrote that someone graduated in 1970 from a school that was established in 1974?
“Was I the one who submitted a certificate that could easily have been picked up directly from CSU but chose to produce a different version from all other certificates of that period?
“Was I the one who boasted on live television that someone did not attend primary and secondary schools because he was a genius?
“Was I the one who supplied a fake social security number belonging to a female?… Sir, why do you seek to saddle me with the excruciating task of defending what I knew nothing about!!!”
