A man declared dead and about to be cremated has suddenly woke up while his body was placed on a funeral pyre and about to be set on fire in India.
25-year old Rohitash Kumar, was declared dead after doctor failed to perform a 3 postmortem examination to confirm if he was truly dead.
Roshlash was suffering from speaking and hearing difficulties and was taken to a hospital in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, on Thursday after he suffered an epileptic seizure. He was declared dead by a doctor on arrival at the hospital.
A doctor reportedly prepared a post mortem result without actually performing and approved that his body could be taken for cremation.
However, as his body was about to be set on fire, Roshlash’s body began to move and those in attendance noticed he was breathing.
He was rushed back to the hospital, but was later confirmed dead the following day on Friday, November 22, during treatment.
The incident has led to the suspension of three doctors while authorities begin investigation.
