Davido raised closed to N50 million in hours after jocularly asking fans to contribute to the release of his forthcoming album. The stunned artiste took to social media to express shock at how much he is loved.

Davido, real name David Adeleke, the popular Nigerian musician was left shocked on Wednesday when fans donated N67million to him within 2hrs.
The musician had jokingly posted on his Twitter handle for fans to give him money for his hit songs and posted his bank account. To his surprise, seven million naira was donated into the account within ten minutes. The amount rose to N67million within two hours.

“If you know I have given you hit songs, send me money, una know una sef,” Davido had twitted with a smiling emoji.
Ten minutes later, he twitted again “7million in 10min!!!! Keep going!!! I want to clear my Rolls Royce from Port. I know say una love me but una love me like this!!
The donations have marked up to over N26 million in less than an hour, the 30 Billion Gang Supremo said shortly afterwards, The Peoples Gazette said.
Fellow celebrities such as Zlatan, Nengi, E-Money, Mr Eazi and more have paid their dues.
