The violent clashes between the feuding cultists reportedly created panic in the area, as residents and passersby scampered for safety.
However, some operatives of Amotekun in the state arrived the scene of the clash to restore peace and order but were later accused of responsibility for the death of the two persons.
This prompted some angry youths to take their remains to the palace of Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, before the police removed them.

According to the Amotekun Field Commandant of Osun, Amitolu Shittu, his men were not responsible for the deaths but only came to the scene to make arrests because of which the hoodlums vandalised his house.
“After the arrest of one of the suspected hoodlums, they (suspected cultists) bombarded my house and vandalised it, including the cars parked in the premises,” he said.
“One Lekan led the hoodlums numbering about 30 to my house to vandalise the property. They used axes on my gates, shattered glasses and destroyed some vehicles.”
