Suspected cultists, late hours of Wednesday, killed and beheaded a middle-aged man at Rumuekini community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The victim, identified as Chima Jonah, was beheaded in the presence of his wife at Rumuekini community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
A source from the community, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed that the killers had put off the victims power generator, stating that he was shot when he (victim) went to check what made the generator go off.

The source said, “The incident is shocking. Last night, China was outside with his brothers and friends at a sit-out joint on the school road.
“Later around 11p.m., we heard that he was inside when the killers came. The boys went to his generator that was on, closed his fuel tap.
“When he noticed that his generator’s sound has changed, he went outside to find out what happened.
“Immediately he came out, the boys shot him. He carried the bullet and ran back into the house. The boys followed him, killed him and cut off his head.”
The source also called on the state government and the police in the state to boost security in the state.
Meanwhile, as at press time, the Rivers State Police Command was yet to confirm the incident.
