C&S leader greets Christians at Christmas, urges moderate celebration

Supreme Head of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church, His Most Eminence Solomon Adegboyega Alao has congratulated Christians all over the world on the occasion of the 2024 Christmas celebration.

Prophet Alao, who joined other eminent clergies in the country, to felicitate the birth of Christ, urged Christians to live pious lives and emulate the meekness of Christ in their relationship with people around them.

He also urged Christians to celebrate the season in moderation and keep their hopes and dreams alive.

In a press release issued by Special Adviser on Media to Prophet Alao, Special Apostle Segun Adio, the Spiritual leader of all Cherubim & Seraphim Churches in Nigeria and in the Diaspora, also called on Nigerians to remain prayerful for the leadership of the country while trusting the Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government’s transformative programmes for the progress of the country.

Prophet Alao, however, called on President Tinubu to do more to assuage the suffering of Nigerians.

The statement read in part: “The birth of Jesus Christ reminds us of the Saviour who gives us salvation. So, Christmas should be celebrated to reflect the reason(s) Jesus came into our world. To erase the curse of sin, to bring salvation to man and to restore us back to God. I therefore charged Seraphs and all Christians to celebrate in moderation while we continue to support Nigeria’s political leaders in prayers for them to take us to the PromisedLand.
“I urge Nigerians not to be involved in evil or dabbling into crimes. We should adopt cost-cutting measures as a way of addressing the current economic challenges in the country.
“Times are hard, no doubt, but what we should do as followers of Christ is to continue to remain prayerful for our political leaders to get their policies right for the utmost benefit of Nigerians. We should allow the spirit of the season of Christmas to guide our conducts and actions.” Prophet Alao said.
