Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has appointed Surveyor Eyo Oku as the chairman of the state’s Border Commission.
Surveyor Oku, until his appointment, was the state’s Surveyor General.

In a release issued by Special Adviser to the governor on Media & Publicity, Christian Ita, Oku has, therefore, been directed to handover as the Surveyor General to Mr. John Ada as the most senior officer in the department. Mr. Ada now becomes the acting Surveyor General of the state.
Oku’s appointment was to nip in the bud the series of boundary issues between the state and neighbouring states as well as the threat to the territorial integrity of Cross River State.
