He said that the 14-year-old university had been able to uphold the tenets for which it was established by its founding fathers.
He said that had included sustaining an unbroken academic calendar year record over the years.
“God has helped us to add values to the lives of our students and we are confident that they will go out of this institution with enhanced discernment and greater understanding.
“We are glad to say that this institution continues to make remarkable progress in all fronts.
“We are getting better grips each year in the task of providing the skilled manpower for today’s knowledge and economy.
“Faced with advances in Science and Technology characterised by 5G Network, Nanotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Vehicle and the rest of it, we have the passion of preparing our students for the challenges ahead.
“We are doing this by upgrading our curricular across all programmes to reflect the latest issues, problems and challenges as well as opportunities,’’ he said.
Ajayi said that students of the institution, irrespective of their courses of study, had the rare opportunity of being ICT savvy.
“All our students, irrespective of their academic programme, undergo compulsory exposure to ICT, which places their feet in the medial near-rings of ICT-competence on which to build in order to effectively function.
“In addition to this, since we are not blind to the realities of our national life, and as our society battles with dwindling job stocks and unemployment, Crawford University empowers its graduates with job-creating skills.
“This has helped them to go through a systemised Entrepreneurship Curriculum aimed at stimulating entrepreneurial thinking beyond their academic degree and any vocational skill acquired through training.
“We also need to point out that our alumni are now stabilised and successful entrepreneurs, creating jobs for others,’’ he said.
Ajayi said that the 11th convocation’s lecture would be delivered by Mr Nosa Omorodion, the Executive Director, Schlumberger.
He said that Omorodion would speak on the topic: “We are All Explorationist: When we all discover is you.
