Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, on Thursday, came out of COVID-19 isolation, urging Lagosians to take their health seriously.

While addressing journalists at the State House, Marina, Governor Sanwo-Olu warned the state is experiencing increase in positive cases of the virus adding Lagosians must go for test at the various government owned hospitals once they start feeling the symptoms of the virus.

He added the state, on Thursday, lost a staff to the virus, and warned the government can not afford another lockdown because of its economic implications.

“Don’t hide your status. For the sake of your loved ones, come out if you are feeling the symptoms. Let people know. I suggest all non essential travels both local and International be cancelled at this time. If you need not travel to your village this year, stay where you are.

“We must protect the elderly and vulnerable among us. All establishments must implement a ‘no mask, no entry’ policy. Let this Christmas be a period for sober reflection.

” The choice is ours. This month alone, I have lost people that are close to me. This morning, we lost a staff. But we will come out of it stronger and better, ” he said.
