The Presidential Task-Force on Covid-19 on Tuesday morning visited Lagos and commended Lagos State for putting up a world class isolation centre at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena, Onikan.
The Task-Force was on inspection tour of various facilities put in place by the state government to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
While speaking on behalf of members of the Task-Force after inspecting the Onikan centre, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, and Chairman of the Task-Force, Boss Mustapha commended governor Sanwo-Olu for his pro-activeness, adding the efforts of the government in containing the virus is yielding results.

“We have just taken a tour of the facility put in place in anticipation of receiving patients. So far, Lagos State is doing a good job. They have first class and world class facility that will help in the management of the containment of Covid-19. We are on course, we are doing well. Our objectives are being accomplished.
“We are trying as much as possible to reduce the spread and containment of those who have been infected, and the case of community transmission,” he said.
“There are indications that the reasons for the lockdown is achieving its objectives. I will urge the media to continue to broadcast that we need to maintain social distancing and report anyone in the community that has symptoms of the infection,” he added.
The Taskforce, is however presently visiting other isolation centres at Gbagada General Hospital.
