The Jigawa state government has suspended all public gatherings to avoid the spread of corona virus in the state.
The commissioner of health, Dr. Abba Zakari told newsmen yesterday that the government is already considering shutting down of all public offices as a step in prevention of the spread of the virus.
Dr. Abba Zakari said there has been a concerted effort by the state in providing a befitting isolation centre in case there are incidences of infection.
He said already the state has provided hand sanitizers in all entry points and offices receptions for People’s use to curb the spread of the virus in the country.
The commissioner also stated that a massive awareness campaigns in radio across the state has been initiated announcing that an 18-man committee has been inaugurated under the commissioner of health and other relevant commissioners to handle the situation.
