The German Mission in Nigeria has pledged €5.5m to the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund to combat the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
The donation was announced on the verified Twitter handle of The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Nigeria (OCHA) @OCHANigeria.

The tweet reads; “Just In: #Germany pledges €5.5M to the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund
It’s more critical than ever for vulnerable ppl to have access to clean water, food & shelter
This will enable partners to continue delivering life-saving aid amidst #COVID19

The donation is said to be around N2.2 billion Nigerian naira as at the time of filing this report.
