“The exercise is very important and it shows government preparedness to secure the lives of its citizens which is one of the constitutional mandate of a leader”

Earlier in his speech, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Daniel Umezurike, reiterated that the fumigation exercise was inevitable because some of the diseases were transmitted by insects and wild animals.

The Commissioner said that the exercise was carried out on Sunday because of the side effects of the chemicals and appealed to traders to use the face mask anytime they were in the market.
