Reverend Joel Billi, the President of Church of Brethren in Nigeria, has urged the Federal Government to intensify action in curbing security challenges in the North-East and other parts of the country.
The president spoke on Friday at the end of the 72nd Conference of the Church in Kwarhi, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Billi said insurgents’ activities and abductions were still going on in some parts of North-East forcing people to flee their villages.
He said something urgent needed to be done to address the problem from further escalation.

He reiterated the commitment of the church to pray for lasting solution and spiritual revival.
Billi raised concern on corruption in the church and warned those involved to stop.
“Whoever in any way decides to mishandle the church money, will not be protected.
“You may cover your actions that auditors may not see, but you cannot cover it from God,” Billi said. (NAN)
