Most Rev. Michael Akinwale, the Archbishop of Methodist Cathedral of Unity, Abuja, has tasked Christian fathers on the need to set worthy examples for their children and community.
Akinwale on Sunday gave the charge in a sermon to mark this year’s Father’s Day in Abuja, insisting that father’s must fulfill the roles assigned to them.
According to the Archbishop: “Men are the head of each family, and their roles determine what a family, society or nation will look like.

“I urge fathers to be responsible to their divine duties, which is to train their children in the way of the Lord.
“Live exemplary life’s worthy of emulation and having positive influence on the children. Display good Christian character that will inspired the family.”
Speaking further, the cleric posited that the society reflects the kind of component families in it.
“Once a family is good, issues of banditry, kidnapping, rape and insecurity will be eliminated.
“I wish all men will live to their expectations.”
