The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Tuesday announced that the use of the old N200, N500 and N1,000 banknotes would be extended indefinitely.
The CBN in a statement said the decision to extend the deadline for the denominations was made “in line with international best practices and to forestall a repeat of earlier experiences.” READ ALSO: http://Troops give bandits bloody nose, kill two in Kaduna
The apex bank added that it is collaborating with the relevant authorities to to endure that a subsisting court ruling on the same subject is vacated.
