Caution your members against disobeying traffic, environmental laws, Sanwo-Olu tells religious leaders

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has urged religious leaders in the state to educate their members on the importance of obeying traffic and environmental laws.
The governor also called for support through prayers.
He also promised to improve the educational sector in the state by renovating dilapidated classrooms and improve welfare of teachers in the state.
At a special inauguration Jumat service at the Lagos Secretariat Central Mosque, Alausa, in honour of the governor, Sanwo-Olu, said the state would soon begin to distribute waste disposal polythene bags to public free, adding that religious leaders must caution their people on indiscriminate disposal of wastes.
Governor Sanwo-Olu lamented the habits of motorists making use of one-way roads whenever there is traffic and urged religious leaders to instill discipline in their members.

Said he, “My deputy and I thanks you for your support. Don’t leave us but continue to support us with prayers.
“We will begin to distribute waste disposal nylon which will be subsidise. This will help to keep our environment clean so we urge you to educate your members to avoid indiscriminate dumping of wastes.
“We cannot do it alone; we rely on you to help us broadcast this message,” Sanwo-Olu said.
On traffic, the government added, “Yesterday we stopped some motorists passing one-way.
“We want you as religious leaders to advise your members to obey traffic rules. Once people over traffic laws, there will be less traffic.
“We will renovate school buildings and take care of teachers,” he promised.
