Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Engr. Mustapha Maihaja, has warned staff of the agency to take advantage of the various capacity building initiatives to develop themselves as no room for indolence in the agency.
Maihaja gave the warning at the opening of a 7-day retreat for staff of the Sokoto Operations office, holding in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.

The NEMA DG represented by the Head of Sokoto operation’s office of the Agency, Dr. Kofoworola Soleye, said the training would prepare the staff to respond pro-actively and rapidly to any emergency situation.
“The world is dynamic and the only way not to left behind is by taking advantage of any training or workshops to develop your yourselves to be in tune with current trends in the field”, he said.
