Immediate past president Muhammadu Buhari believes President Bola Tinubu has done well for the country given the prevailing circumstances he met when he assumed office in May 2023.

He appealed to Nigerians to endure the economic hardship in the country and support the policies and programmes of the current administration.
“I thank you very much for coming. I very much appreciate it. I thought Tinubu has done very well. Nigeria is so complex. Really, there isn’t much anybody can do,” Buhari said.
Recall that President Tinubu had been heavily criticised by some Nigerians following the policies his government has introduced, notably the removal of subsidy on petrol and the unification of the exchange rate which have led to galloping inflation and economic hardship.
