President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over the National Council of State meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This would be the third Council of State meeting of the Buhari administration since inauguration in May, 2015.

Present at the meeting included former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan and a former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar and Head of the Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan.
Also present at the meeting were Senate President Bukola Saraki chairman of the Independent national Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmud Yakubu and some state governors.
