Two committees have been set up to stimulate work on the Mambilla hydroelectric power project in Taraba State.
The committees, inter-ministerial steering, and project delivery, have got the nod of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The inter-ministerial steering committee will have the Minister of Power, Sale Mamman as chairman, while the project delivery committee will be headed by the director in charge of renewable energy in the Ministry of Power. He will report to the minister of power through the permanent secretary of the ministry.

A press statement by the Special Adviser to the Minister of Power on Media and Communications, Aaron Artimas listed the Ministries of Water Resources, Environment, Finance, Budget and National Planning, Works and Housing, Justice, Information and Culture, Mines and Steel Development as well as the Taraba State Government as members of the inter-ministerial steering committee.
Representatives of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, National Security Adviser, Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority and the Nigeria Customs Service would also serve in that committee.
According to the release, the inter-ministerial steering committee would be supported by the project delivery committee.
