The driver of the Lagos State BRT staff bus that collided with a train at PWD railway crossing in March this year has been charged with manslaughter and causing grievous body harm by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
It would be recalled that the train dragged the bus with its passengers along the tracks until it came to a stop at Sogunle.
Six people lost their lives while about 96 others suffered various degrees of injuries. The injured victims were hospitalised across many government hospitals in the state.

The driver of the staff bus, Mr. Oluwaseun Osibanjo, was apprehended and handed over to the Police for investigation and possible prosecution by the state.
At the end of investigations, the case file was forwarded to the D.P.P. for further actions.
The DPP report, according to the Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of Justice, found the driver guilty of manslaughter, and grievous bodily harm, with both offences contrary to Sections 224 and 245 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
