The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday ordered the former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina, to be remanded in prison custody.
The presiding judge, Justice Okon Abang granted the remand order following a request by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission after he pleaded not guilty to the 12 counts on Friday.

The case was subsequently adjourned till October 30 for trial and November 19 for the suitability of his application for bail filed before arraignment.
Abdulrasheed Maina is facing charges of money laundering, operating fictitious bank accounts and fraud.
Meanwhile the court went on a short break to commence the trial of his son, Faisal Maina. (SOLACEBASE)
