A Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, has dismissed a suit seeking to disqualify Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State from the upcoming governorship election in the state over alleged forgery.
Three people, Edobor Williams, Ugesia Godwin and Amedu Anakhu, had filed the case alleging that the governor forged his academic certificate.

But when the case came up, on Monday, the legal representatives of Governor Obaseki’s accusers did not show up.
Presiding Judge, Anwuli Chikere, subsequently struck out the case.
