BREAKING: Buhari appoints sacked Service Chiefs Ambassadors, forwards their names to NASS for confirmation
A new report reaching The Nigerian Xpress now says that President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed the recently-sacked Service Chiefs as Ambassadors-designate to various foreign missions.
The sacked Service Chiefs, wwhoare being appointed as Ambassadors of Nigeria to yet-to-be-known countries are the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Gabriel Abayomi Olonisakin (rtd), former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd), former Chief of the Naval Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Ibok Eye Ekwe-Ibas (rtd) and former Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sodique Baba Abubakar (rtd).
The countries of their deployments were not made available as at the time of fiing his report.
Thenames of these former military generals have been forwarded to the Senate for confirmstion.
