BREAKING: Buba Marwa loses wife

Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd) has lost his first wife, Hajiya Zainab Marwa.

A statement released by the family, on Saturday, said Zainab Marwa died in the early hours of the morning after a brief illness. She was aged 66.

Abubakar, Mohamed Jr, Mariam, and Zainab, as well as her siblings and elderly mother, are among the deceased’s four adult children.

Throughout her life, she advocated for the advancement of women and the girl child. The family will announce a burial plan at a later date, according to the statement.
