The All Progressives Congress (APC), Akwa Ibom State chapter, has lost its chairman, Mr. Ini Okopido.
A top member of the party in the state, who confirmed the sad incident, disclosed that Okopido died in the early hours of Wednesday at the Ibom Multispecialty Hospital (IBH), Uyo, the state capital.

In the words of the source who spoke on condition of anonymity, “Yes, our state chairman is dead. In fact the entire APC family in the state is in deep mourning. It is a big blow to our party at all levels.
