The bodies of seven victims, including Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari, recovered from the wreckage of a helicopter crash in Eastern Nepal arrived in the capital Kathmandu on Thursday.
Uttam Raj Subedi, a Police spokesman, said this that a helicopter from the Nepalese Army carried the bodies of the seven people to Kathmandu.
“In Kathmandu, the bodies were moved from the airport to Tribuvan University Teaching Hospital for autopsy,” he said.
The Air Dynasty helicopter went down, minutes after taking off from Pathivara, a holy site for Hindus which lies at an altitude of 3,700 metres in the mountainous Taplejung district.

In addition to the minister, an airline operator, two aviation officials, the minister’s security guard, a senior government official and the pilot lost their lives in the crash.
On Wednesday, government formed a four-member panel to investigate the accident.
It also declared Thursday a public holiday to mourn the dead.
Local media reported that Adhikari’s body would be to flown to Pokhara, a tourist town he represented in parliament for the final funeral rites. (NAN)
