Bloodbath in Katsina as bandits kill 20, abduct several others during attack on Maulud celebration

No fewer than 20 lives were lost and several others abducted when gunmen suspected to be bandits

attacked Kusa in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State during a Maulud celebration.

The assailants reportedly swooped on the venue and opened fire on the celebrants, resulting in the death of 20 persons with many sustaining injuries too.

Several other people were also reportedly abducted and taken to an unknown destination.

ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the state Police spokesman, confirmed the attack, saying 18 persons were injured and taken to hospital, while two of the victims later died.

Aliyu further disclosed that investigation was ongoing yo fish out the culprits and bring them to book.
