An independent commission investigating allegations of past wrongdoing within the International Biathlon Union (IBU) as set up a confidential whistleblower website, it said on Wednesday.
Authorities in Austria have been investigating the IBU since 2017 following the world championships in the country.
The IBU is fighting for credibility amid indications positive doping samples from Russian biathletes may have been covered up.

“Whistleblowers can, if they wish, remain anonymous on the system and also communicate back and forth with the Commission via a secure ‘postbox’.
Only the Commission can access the whistleblower system, i.e. no staff member, officials or members of the IBU may access the system,’’ a commission statement said. (NAN)
