“He will soon be back. He is part and parcel of this Exco. There’s no substance to the rumours of his resignation,” he said.

Bamgbose also announced that some vacant positions within the State Executive had been filled up after a consensus among members of the State executive.

The new appointments which will take effect from now till the Party’s next executive Congress in 2020 include Hon. Olusegun Awoyemi as the State organising Secretary, Hon. Alaba Adewunmi as the State Woman leader,

Mrs. Nike Ejioye, Deputy State Leader, and Mr. Sunkanmi Oyejide as the State Publicity Secretary.

He assured that the PDP would bounce back, saying it remains a formidable force in the State’s politics.

“We are very much comfortable with what is happening in our Party. PDP is coming back with full force. PDP is very much intact in Ogun State.

“As politicians, when elections come and go, you have to remain calm. People must be given time to calm their nerves.  You know tensions have to be calmed.”

He added that the Party expects the incoming administration in Ogun State to hit the ground running, saying “The only thing we are expecting from this government is good governance. Anything short of that is zero.”
