The Bauchi State Board of Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) says it will introduce Quickteller services for the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state.
The Chairman of the Board, Mr Hussaini Jibo, said this on Thursday in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bauchi State.
According to him, the use of the modern technology will block revenue leakages and reduce cash in hand tax payments.

“The board has introduced the Quickteller technology so as to block revenue leakages in the service.
“The Quickteller will enable a taxpayer to make transactions, using his or her mobile phone or the Automated Teller Machine (ATM),’’ he said.
He said that the automated payment system would be adopted by all line Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the state to ensure quality service delivery.
Jibo said that the board would continue to train revenue officers in the state in order to promote productivity and effective revenue generation. (NAN)
