Many people of Tofar Magami district in Dansadau Local Government Area of Zamfara State have reportedly fled their homes after being besieged by suspected terrorists.
The residents were allegedly attacked by terrorists because they were unable to pay the tax placed on them.
Many residents may have been slain, according to sources who talked to FIJ, but the exact number of deaths has yet to be determined.

During the attacks, 30 individuals were slain, including the Head Imam.
Terrorists are increasingly levying tolls on inhabitants of northern settlements, and if these levies are not paid, residents are reportedly flogged or driven away.
