Jigawa state governor Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru has yesterday aproves the appointments of 459 supervisory councillors and special advisers to local governments chairmen in all the 27 local government areas of the state.
The governor who made this known in a statement issued after a poitical stakeholders meeting at the government house said the appointments is with immediate effect.

According to the governor the selected members were recommended by the All Progressives Congress ( APC) party leadership in order to fill-up vacant political positions in their respective local government councils.
The statement also solicits the support and corporation of all the appointed members to ensure the progress of the APC in their areas through positive impact on the People’s lives.
The statement added that there are two additional supervisory /advisers for each local government councils including physically challenged persons to be appointed later.
